where I can find some good tips for building a giant monster suit?

my girlfriend likes making movies, so, naturally, I wanna make a cheesy giant monster movie...BUT I have no idea how I should make the costume, and the internet has yet to be of any help :(


also, I have no idea when I'm going to get around to it, but I plan on making some kaiju stories in Spore: Galactic Adventures :D
