Surudago

The first of Maikaiju (I just couldn't help the play on words)
Yeah...it's a series I'm starting of original kaiju....

#1-SURUDAGO

Height - 45m
Weight - 18,000 metric tons

History - A small lizard, its species no longer known, was subjected to horrendous genetic experiments at the hands of a Japanese scientist. The creature that would come to be known as Surudago was slowly turned into an unrecognizable beast, changing more and more each day. Eventually growing too powerful for his creator, Surudago destroyed the labs where he was contained and escaped. He next found his way into the home of a blind woman, the matriach of a small village family. During this time, it was her tender care that gave Surudago a new affection for humans. However, it was eventually set free, when it had grown larger than a horse, and to difficult to care for. The next time he was seen, he had grown to massive heights, and was now a fully-fledged giant instead. Instead of attacking humanity, though, as most creatures do, Surudago has actually caused very few casualties in his time. And because he usually keeps to himself on a small, uninhabited island, the army leaves him alone. Curiously enough, he seems to only appear when another monster arrives to threaten humanity...

Powers/Aspects/Abilities
-Large, razor-sharp pincers protrude from the mouth. Surdago can independently move these open and shut with great power.
-Extra eyes give Surudago both normal and thermal vision.
-Indomitable spirit. Battle observations show that Surudago has never given up, and will fight an opponent until he has won, or die trying.

Weaknesses
-Lack of projectile weapon gives forces Surudago to get 'up close and personal' with attackers
-Fins on back are fragile and can be easily damaged



If you couldn't tell from the bio, he's pretty much my 'main' kaiju. If I were Toho, he'd be godzilla. I never really planned on that (he was originally gonna be a villain), but he was the first kaiju I really came up with, and one of my favorites because of that. Some of you may find it odd that I created my hero without some sort of beam weapon, but I dunno, I just didn't think it fit him. Maybe I'll change it in the future...And I got the name from bastardizing Japanese. According to a translator I found, sharp=surudoi and jaw=ago, so I just put the two together (and yes, I plan on doing something like that for every kaiju's name).
This is the first of about 12 I have planned, so...plan on seeing more soon!
